The medical examiner/coroner of the county in which the death occurred will issue a cremation permit. Each county charges a different fee for issuing the cremation permit. Some counties require that we bring your loved one to their office for a cremation viewing. In these situations, there is an additional $195 fee for this additional mileage.

In the event that your loved one was taken into the care of the Medical Examiner’s office, then you can anticipate that additional charges may apply for signing of the death certificate and the transportation that the medical examiner provided.
